INTELLIGENT Incapacitation Alerting (Man Down)
Isle Systems’ True Man Down Detection features delivers potentially life-saving automated protection for lone workers operating in high-risk or isolated environments. Unlike simple drop sensors or fall detection that trigger frequent false alarms, True Man Down uses advanced multi-sensor analysis to detect true incapacitation, ensuring help is dispatched immediately when a worker cannot call for help themselves.

How It Works

  • Continuous Multi-Axis & Motion Sensing: The feature continuously monitors both device tilt angles (typically triggering when tilted beyond 30°) and non-movement periods to detect gradual collapse, loss of consciousness, or physical incapacitation.

  • Smart Pre-Alarm Warning: Before dispatching an emergency alert, the device issues an audible chime and strong vibration pre-alarm directly to the user. If the worker is unharmed, simply moving or picking up the device automatically resets the pre-alarm without interrupting operations.

  • Automated Emergency Escalation: If the pre-alarm expires, an emergency alert is instantly transmitted to Aspect Link. The platform automatically captures GPS/indoor positioning data and opens a live, hands-free LinkStream Audio™ channel so emergency responders can listen in and coordinate rapid assistance.
Key Capabilities & Benefits

  • Zero-Touch Emergency Activation: Designed to send an emergency alert even if the lone worker is unconscious or immobilised.

  • Eliminates False Alarms: Configurable angle limits, motion sensitivity thresholds, downtime timers, and pre-alarm durations adapt to specific job roles and physical tasks.

  • Privacy-First Operations: Motion tracking operates locally on the device and only broadcasts location and audio data when an active alert is triggered.

  • Cross-Platform Availability: Integrated directly into the Atlas SOS App (iOS & Android) and supported across all dedicated Atlas hardware devices (including ATEX hazardous-zone models).

  • Centralised Admin Control: Administrators can remotely configure sensitivity settings or allow users to toggle the feature on/off based on risk assessments.
