How we compare to the rest
The most important reasons why you would choose Isle Systems lone worker technology over other offerings are usability and cost.
Usability
When looking at the usability of a system or service you need to consider whether or not you will have to change your business practices to suite the system or service you’re considering or will the system or service adapt to your business practices.
The Isle Systems PPS (Personnel Protection System) was designed from the ground up in consultation with our clients. With this approach we have developed a system which provides a vast range of features enabling the system to integrate into your business practices.

Cost
Cost is always a factor when considering any new purchase. With Isle Systems your urchase and the total cost of ownership is protected now and into the future.
If you were to purchase a service from a company where your alarms are manually or automatically processed by them and the company decided to close or terminate that side of the business you would be left with no facilities for your lone workers. And possibly a quantity of devices that could not be used anywhere else. This would leave you in the position of having to reinvest in lone worker devices, retraining of your staff and the operational downtime costs that this would bring.
With Isle Systems all of the hardware and software is located on your premises. This provides you with total protection of your investment as our systems do not require any interaction from Isle Systems to operate. By implementing our systems this also eliminates daily or monthly monitoring charges which further reduces your total cost of ownership.
A simple comparison below shows how monthly monitoring fees and other associated costs can mount up. What first looked like a good deal can quickly grow to become a very large expense.
For this example we chose an average cost of €1 per day for monitoring and an average cost of €400 for a good quality dedicated lone worker device. Note : Dedicated lone worker devices range in price, quality and functionality. As with any piece of technology, the lower the price, the lower the quality and/or functionality.
The graph below shows the total cost of ownership for a monitoring service (Other) against the cost of a system from Isle Systems (I.S.) over 5 years with users ranging from 5 to 200. A breakdown of these figures is supplied next and also includes the total cost of ownership over a shorter 3 year period.

As can be seen from the graph and the data above, what first might look like a good option (monitoring service) now shows how costly it can become and you don’t even get half of the functionality you need.
