SafetyLate

How it works

SafetyLate starts as an SMS text only system and provides users with an easy to use timed check-in facility.

User selectable timers are set, reset and unset using SMS text messages. Reminders are automatically sent to users of a pending alert activation.

If a user fails to check-in with the system, an alarm is automatically generated and sent to nominated responders.

Responders receive notification of alarms as SMS text messages and/or using the SafetyLate client software on the PC.

Product Options

Additional modules are available for SafetyLate. These include SL SOS, SL Voice and SL Mapping.

  SL SOS

SL SOS adds the facility to generate SOS alerts by SMS text message or by a voice call (SL Voice module required for voice call activation).

Most dedicated SOS devices can be configured to transmit an SMS text message when activated. The SMS is automatically processed by SL SOS and an alarm is sent to the nominated responders.

The SL SOS facility can also be activated by a voice call (SL Voice module required). Simply calling the system will generate an alarm. This can be done using a speed dial on a normal phone or by a dedicated SOS device making a voice call to the system.

  SL Voice

SL Voice adds ability to set, reset and unset timers using a voice call. The voice call is automatically recorded and stored for later retrieval.

Users can mix between voice and SMS timer management. For example, this allows a user to voice call the system, record an information message, start a timer running, extend the timer using an SMS text message and unset a timer using an SMS text message or voice call.

If a user fails to check-in with the system, an alarm is automatically generated and the voice call recording is made available to responders.

SL Voice is also used to enable SOS alert activation via a voice call.

  SL Mapping

SL Mapping translates GPS coordinates from dedicated personal alarms into links to your preferred mapping services.

SL Mapping produces links to Google Maps, Bing Maps, MapQuest, MultiMap and many others. It can also use Microsoft MapPoint 2006 or 2009 to produce maps accessible by any mobile (cell) or satellite phone with a colour screen and internet access.

SL Mapping is also capable of producing links to Google Maps for mobile phones. To avail of this facility you will need to install Google Maps on your mobile phone. See http://www.google.com/mobile/maps/ for more details about supported phones and installing this software.
